SUMMARY:Workshop franco-allemand
DESCRIPTION:We are excited about the opportunity to hold the second « French/German speaking » meeting on « Thermodynamics and kinetics of materials » in Karlsruhe. The twisted name « French/German speaking » meeting stems from the fact that next year\, it is our pleasure to welcome representatives from Austria in addition to France and Germany. Same as in Paris 2019\, it is our intention to bring together experimentalists\, database/software developers and experts in modelling phase transformations/processes to generate and encourage new ideas for bilateral projects. We live in turbulent times with many maybe not new but urgent challenges. Green technologies\, recycling\, energy storage\, nuclear activities are “hot” but not exclusive topics. We encourage you to give  presentations (10+5min) more on methods\, expertise and interests than detailed experimental/modeling findings to facilitate the identification of mutual projects.  \n\n\n\nThe meeting will start on February 2\, 2023 with a light lunch at 12:00 at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT\, Campus North; about 10 km North of Karlsruhe City) and is expected to end on February 3\, 2023 at 13:00. We additionally will organize guided tours to lab facilities of interest at Campus North of KIT.
